Friday Fun Days
Because Some of the Best Learning Happens at Home, Together
ELK Learning Academy provides scheduled instructional classes Monday through Thursday, intentionally leaving Friday open as a flexible learning day for families.
We believe some of the most meaningful learning experiences happen at home, together. Friday Fun Day is an opportunity for parents to participate in their child’s education in ways that reflect their family's interests, strengths, and educational goals.
Families may choose to explore a favorite subject in greater depth, work on creative projects, strengthen an area needing extra support, enjoy educational outings, pursue hobbies or life skills, or simply learn something new together. ELK may offer optional ideas and enrichment opportunities when needed, but Fridays are designed to remain flexible and family-directed.
Friday learning does not need to feel like “more school.” It can be creative, practical, hands-on, interest-led, or simply a meaningful time of learning and connection between parent and child.
While Fridays are already included within our academic calendar and are not used for 17-Day Learning Log hours, we hope families will embrace this time as part of the homeschool partnership that makes ELK unique.
