Power with Purpose

Lion students step into a powerful year of leadership, purpose, and preparation for the future. Through American literature, consumer math, U.S. history, botany, astronomy, and future planning, students continue building the academic strength and maturity needed for Eagle.

English Language Arts: Lion students study American literature through significant works, powerful themes, and the voices that have shaped American history and culture. Through discussion, literary analysis, and multi-page essays, students strengthen both thoughtful interpretation and advanced writing skills.
Math: Lion students explore consumer math through practical life skills including budgeting, banking, balancing accounts, taxes, and informed financial decision-making. By connecting mathematics to everyday responsibilities, students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and greater financial awareness.
Science: Lion students investigate botany and astronomy through semester studies of plant life, the universe, and the intricate systems found throughout creation. Through observation, inquiry, and connected learning, students strengthen scientific understanding while exploring the remarkable world around them.
Social Studies: Lion students investigate United States history through influential leaders, defining moments, and the stories that shaped America’s past and present. Using a variety of resources, discussion, and connected learning experiences, students move beyond memorization into a richer understanding of history.
Foreign Language: Lion students may pursue foreign language study through Spanish instruction when offered, dual enrollment opportunities, or approved equivalent language pathways. Language learning encourages communication, cultural understanding, and practical skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Beyond Lion: Lion students have built knowledge, strength, and purpose throughout their ELK journey. As Eagle approaches, focus shifts toward future goals, leadership, graduation preparation, and the opportunities that lie beyond high school learning.
Strength. Purpose. Legacy.
